The boa is a very showy plant that has the ability to lean on the plants or walls around it. Widely sold in vases on moss or coconut fiber supports, this plant can be a good alternative to decorate interiors. Its leaves are shiny and change with the plant's maturity, initially they are small, without variegations or indentations, with growth they become large, variegated and sometimes indented. It is one of the few vines to be used in partial shade.
In order to always have beautiful foliage and fast growth, it should be planted in substrate rich in organic matter and receive periodic watering. It can be grown in full sun, but some care must be taken, as when supporting it on trees, with growth it runs the risk of suffocating the support plant. Typically tropical, it does not tolerate frost or intense cold.
