If it is planted in the ground, it is advisable to add organic matter in spring along with a mineral fertilizer and a second contribution at the end of summer.

Watering: During the first years of a fruit tree it is important that there is no lack of water, so it can be reduced, although it is always necessary to water regularly and more abundantly during the hottest periods and less during the cold ones.

Drip irrigation system will ensure proper irrigation of fruit trees. However, it must be taken into account that excess water reduces the sugar in the fruit.

Pruning: It is advisable to prune fruit trees every year.

Generally speaking, unproductive and dry branches should be removed to ensure better lighting and ventilation. In addition, it helps the fruits to come out with better size and quality. There are different types of pruning, all related to the type of exploitation.
